PROGRAM NOTES
State of Mind is a piece that projects a hypnotic soundscape in which one can easily get lost in. After a figured is played on the marimba, it gets looped in the background while the next figure is performed. As each figure gets added to the mix, the music unfolds into a jumbled nature that builds up as the piece goes on.
